Staff Sergeant Sam George joined the West Point Band in 2025. Alongside his military service, he remains active in New York City’s freelance music scene, performing on Broadway, at Carnegie Hall, and with a wide range of orchestras, chamber groups, and new music ensembles. He is also a founding member of Parallel Brass, a dynamic quintet committed to community engagement in classical music. He earned degrees from the New England Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music and has over four years of teaching experience, including leadership of a British-style brass band program in New York City. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys creating electronic music with acoustic influences and playing chess.
