Master Sergeant Nicholas Caluori joined the West Point Band in 2006. He earned a Bachelor of Music from Florida State University as a student of William Capps, and a Master of Music from Southern Methodist University as a student of Gregory Hustis. He has performed with the Albany Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Tallahassee Symphony, and The Who. His orchestral experience also includes summers with the National Repertory Orchestra and National Orchestral Institute.
At the United States Military Academy, Master Sgt. Caluori serves as an instructor in the Center for Enhanced Performance and as a Fellow at the West Point Music Research Center, where he focuses on mental skills training, resilience, and interdisciplinary applications of music and sound. Continuing a family tradition– his father and uncle were career horn players in the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own”—he is proud to carry on that legacy with his wife, fellow SMU alumna, West Point Band principal horn, Sergeant First Class Nicole Caluori.
