Staff Sergeant Jeff Prosperie, Jr. joined the West Point Band in 2023. An international snare drum champion, he has won individual competitions at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, placed twice as runner-up at Drum Corps International World Championships and is a two-time winner of the United States Association of Rudimental Drummers. He was a four-year member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, finishing his last season as the center snare and section leader. He has been a featured performer at PASIC in 2018, 2020, and 2022, and he has performed clinics at the Manhattan School of Music, Nicholls State University, and several times at USARD. Staff Sgt. Prosperie was a student of Doctor John Wooton at the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a degree in music education. He also studied with former Hellcats Dominick and Gus Cuccia during his six years with the Young Colonials Fife and Drum Corps. He is excited to come full circle and return to his hometown of West Point in his dream job as a Hellcat.
