Master Sergeant Christopher Rettie joined the West Point Band in 2001. A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts from Louisiana State University in saxophone performance with a minor in wind conducting. Additionally, he earned a Master of Music from Louisiana State University, a Bachelor of Music from Murray State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Marist College with a focus on ethical leadership. His primary musical teachers and mentors include Griffin Campbell, Frank Wickes, Scott Erickson, and Dennis Johnson.
